O-week Kit Pick-up
TIME: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST
LOCATION: Tindall Field Parking Lot
Registering for orientation week gives you access to a kit bag, merch bag, swag bag, or whatever you want to call it! In this bag, you will find your orientation week tee-shirt, your TAM, useful resources and information, as well as other merchandise such as water bottles, pens, etc!

Tri-Colour Parade

The incoming class will parade to the official welcome and kick-off of Fall Orientation in Richardson Stadium.Learn the Oil Thigh, hear from student leaders, and enjoy a picnic lunch!

Hecersise
STUDENT LOAD-IN TIME: 1:45 PM EST

LOCATION: Nixon Field
The first traditional event for the Health Science Faculty will feature 5 unique stations to learn all about your peers, teams, and the Health Sciences Executive Committee (HEC). Get the opportunity to compete with your teams to prove who is the greatest Health Science group in the cohort, and learn the unique song/dance for the class of 2028 Lastly, get to know your leaders, the executive team, and get the inside scoop on all the university has to offer.
TIPS: Stay hydrated and SunSafe. Use this opportunity to connect with fellow students and the executive team, building valuable relationships. Don't hesitate to ask the executive team about university resources and opportunities.

TIPS: Come to this event in your clothes for the Glow Bash as this event is immeditely before! Stay hydrated, listen to instructions, practice mindfully, embrace the music, and maintain a positive attitude.

Join us for a night of electrifying energy and glowing excitement at the KINxBHSC Glow Bash! Dancing, glow sticks, tailgate games, a DJ booth, this event has it all! Under black lights, every step, jump, and cheer will radiate with energy and enthusiasm. Let your spirit shine as you join forces with fellow students from the Health Science and Kinesiology Faculties to create an unforgettable night! We prioritize providing incoming students with a strong foundation through the Academics, Mental Health and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, and Accessibility (EDIIA) Presentation. These sessions cover a range of student resources, which encompass student academics, mental health, and EDIIA, as well as various success strategies, practical tips to enhance their overall well-being, and advice surrounding fostering an inclusive campus environment. Run by orientation executives and featuring multiple experienced speakers hailing from within the university, this presentation is designed to equip students with valuable tools and insights to excel and thrive both academically and personally in our diverse community. Make sure to come by, you might even get pizza after!
TIPS: Make sure to come to the presentation with any questions you may have, as all of our speakers are happy to engage and answer to the best of their ability! Otherwise, bring all of the positive energy and respectfulness we know you all have.

The CEO has ensured that there is an event every night of Smith Commerce Orientation Week so that no Incoming Student has to spend the evening alone if they do not want to. Specifically, “COMM Chill” is an evening event that Incoming Students can attend if they want to watch a movie, play video games, or simply chat with the CEO, the Bosses, and their peers.

HEalth sciences exploration expo

Got questions about your courses, campus resources, and some possible extracurricular opportunities? We've got the answers! The Health Sci Exploration Exposition provides a chance for incoming students to engage with executives, leaders, and on-campus experts regarding their first-year BHSc courses, student academic success services (SASS), and various safe spaces and extracurriculars available for them to access. Not only will they be able to ask questions and gain insight regarding academics and the campus community, but they will also have the chance to take part in fun games and community fundraisers in a relaxed and inclusive environment. See you there!
TIPS: Since this is an outdoor event, make sure to dress appropriately (i.e., wear sunscreen, rain jacket, hat, etc.) and bring water! Otherwise, come prepared with questions you have surrounding any of your first year courses and be ready to play some games and engage with club-related booths. Some fundraisers will require a fee to play, so make sure to grab some cash (e-transfer will also be accepted)! *Note: you are not required to contribute to the fundraisers, there will be plenty of free game options as well!*
