When is O-week?
University orientation is a vital introduction to campus life for incoming students, typically held before the start of the academic year. It serves as a comprehensive orientation program designed to familiarize new students with the campus environment, academic expectations, resources, and support services available to them.
During orientation, students participate in various activities such as informational sessions, campus tours, academic advising, and social events aimed at facilitating connections with peers, faculty, and staff. The overarching aim of university orientation is to ease the transition into college life, empowering students to navigate the complexities of university culture and academia with confidence and success.
How do I register for Orientation ?
1. Purchase a ticket using the link in our instagram bio or through our website.
2. Ensure that you fill out the form with your email (personal and Queen’s email) and indicate and accessibility and/or accomodation concerns you may have.
For questions on accessibility and accommodations contact bhscorientation@queensu.ca or check out our website! 3. Once you have purchased your ticket, you will be sent an invitation (via email) for a to-do list that is required to be completed prior to the orientation.

What exactly am I paying money for?
When you register for orinetation, your money goes towards: 1. Admission to all events, including our first-ever off-campus event! 2. Access to Welcome Home Night and Tri-colour Parade (University Orientation). 3. A chance to collaborate with some of the best faculties, including Commerce, Kinesiology and Con-Ed! 4. Funding for all orientation-related logistics such as catering, venue bookings, etc. 5. Merchandise, including coveralls, tee-shirts and swag bags!
How do I make the most out of Orientation Week?
We encourage all incoming students, no matter the faculty to connect an engage withtheir orientation leaders and fellow peers, review all the available programming throughout the week, and attend as many events as they can! Throughout all of orientation week, you will get to meet an surplus of like-minded, welcoming people eager to connect.
