Dining Halls:Leonard Hall: Offers both international and traditional comfort meals. The dining hall includes a salad bar and a station for custom-made sandwiches and bagels.
Ban Righ: Offer a dependable selection of meals, including a variety of burger options that are always available. It’s a great spot for classic comfort food in a relaxed setting.
How it works: To use your meal plan for the dining halls, simply swipe your student card at the entrance of the dining halls. You get 19 swipes per week and unlimited access throughout the academic year. After swiping, grab a tray and help yourself to a buffet-style meal. Enjoy a range of pre-prepared options or serve yourself from various stations. Dessert and drink stations are also available.
Flex Dollars and TamsFlex Dollars: Flex Dollars are like cash loaded onto your student card, allowing you to purchase beverages, snacks, and meals at various on-campus retail locations. Whether you need a quick snack during a study session or a drink to your meal, Flex Dollars provide flexibility. You can reload your Flex Dollars at any time through the Student Residence & Dining Portal, starting with $145 at the beginning of your first year. Any unused balance carries over throughout your time at Queen's.
TAMs (Trade a Meals): TAMs allow you to trade up to four dining hall meal swipes per day for TAM swipes. These TAM swipes can be used at participating retail locations across campus such as Location 21, Lazy Scholar, and even chain restaurants like Tim Hortons and Pita Pit. When using a TAM, you typically get a combo meal consisting of a main item, a side, and a drink. In some locations, a TAM might cover just one item, such as a drink or a single food item. Look for pictures of meal options at these locations to see what a TAM can get you. With 200 TAMs for the year, you have plenty of opportunities to explore a variety of foods beyond the dining halls, enhancing your dining experience at Queen's.
